Trial and Error

One way many people choose to learn is by trial and error. I feel like one of the reasons why the Bible says that “there is nothing new under the sun” is because people learn best from making mistakes, so life is steadily repeating itself every generation. I feel trial and error is definitely one way to live and learn, but it isn’t the only way to go through life.

There were two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.- Robert Frost

I feel there is a better way to learn… it is a method that may require being mentored, reading, studying, seeking knowledge, managing relationships and gaining experience. It is the method of learning that is prevalent in all areas of education. The only real issue is knowing who to study under.

Life in itself is a journey. We all are students of life, regardless of where you may be on the journey. I learn something new about myself all the time. Just this morning I learned that I can’t stand operating in an unorganized environment. There are some people who think they know everything. They feel like they have all the answers or at least want to live life by their own rules. Ultimately, I feel they will live life by trial and error. I for one can’t imagine going through life blindly making decisions that mark the course of my journey through life.

Some people wake up and pray that they won’t make any mistakes that can’t be fixed or undone. I wake up and I pray, but I also put forth the effort it takes to to make wise decisions, and surround myself with people who have been where I’m trying to go.

Whether you’re in a relationship looking to find out if your boyfriend really loves you for you, or you feel you’re wasting your life working for a job that is draining you… make an effort to seek out and find the answers you need. There is no easy way to go through life, and if you want to live an above average life it will require you to make an above average effort… bottom line.
