This morning I woke up really tired and uninspired… and even though I’m smiling at my words, because I know it sounds or reads a little depressing — nonetheless, it’s true. So, let me take a some time and look into my Bible for some inspiring words.

This morning, I have decided to read a Psalm of David. Though I read the Bible often, I rarely read through the Book of Psalms. It’s unlike any other book in the Bible; it’s a book that doesn’t read easily chapter to chapter, because each chapter is written from a different perspective. It’s like you could be reading one chapter, and it’s talking about the love for God, then the next one is talking about killing enemies! But, it’s definitely a good read, just to see the type of person David was, and get to see his passionate heartfelt feelings, desires and emotions.. because the Bible says that David was a man after God’s own heart.

This is Psalm 138, a psalm of David… I’ll be writing out the the Message translation.

~Thank you! Everything in me says “Thank you!’ Angels listen as I sing my thanks. I kneel in worship facing your holy temple and say it again: “Thank you!” Thank you for your love, thank you for your faithfulness, Most holy is your name, most holy is your Word. The moment I called out, you stepped in; you made my life large with strength.

When they hear what you have to say, God, all the earth’s kings will say “Thank you.” They’ll sing of what you’ve done: “How great the glory of God!” And here’s why: God, high about, see far below; no matter the distance, he knows everything about us.

When I walk into the thick of trouble, keep me alive in the angry turmoil. With one hand strike my foes, With your other hand save me. Finish what you started in my, God. Your love is eternal–don’t quit on me now.~
